Thank You to Our Community for Making
Our 2014 Annual Dinner Meeting a
Memorable and Inspiring Evening

Because Patients Can’t Wait…

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of BioNJ, I am writing to thank the nearly 700 members of New Jersey’s dynamic biotechnology community and 70 Sponsors who helped make our 2014 Annual Dinner Meeting and Networking Event on January 30, 2014 a monumental success.

Our Keynote Speaker, NFL Hall of Famer and Super Bowl Champion, Nick Buoniconti shared his amazing story of adversity and character building.

Working from the theme, Because Patients Can’t Wait, this year we presented our first Patient Advocacy Awards to Nick Buoniconti, Founder of The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis; John Crowley, Chairman and CEO of Amicus Therapeutics; The National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD) accepted by NORD President and CEO Peter L. Saltonstall; and Wise Young, Ph.D., M.D., Founding Director of the W.M. Keck Center for Collaborative Neuroscience for their amazing work in support of Patients.

The meeting culminated with the presentation of the 2014 Dr. Sol J. Barer Award for Vision, Leadership and Innovation to PTC Therapeutics CEO Stuart W. Peltz, Ph.D. You can view the Dr. Sol J. Barer Award video by clicking here that was part of the presentation ceremony to Dr. Peltz.

And we would be remiss if we did not once again acknowledge our great Sponsors and our Annual Meeting Volunteer Committee led by co-chair Harriet Maphet of Infinity Resources LLC and co-chair Judith Sheft of New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Please remember that the BioNJ Team is at your service at all times. Let us know how we can be of help to you and your company.

And thank you once again for your commitment and contributions to advancing biotechnology in New Jersey.

Because Patients Can’t Wait…
