On April 22, BioNJ, BDO, NJEDA, and Tax Transfer Corporation will hold an educational Webinar entitled Don’t Leave Money on the Table! that will provide up-to-date information on important NOL Program changes. The Webinar starts at 10 a.m. and will feature BioNJ President and CEO, Debbie Hart; BDO Partner, State and Local Tax Services, Janet Bernier; NJEDA Director, Technology and Life Sciences Division, Kathleen Coviello; NJEDA Venture Officer, Technology and Life Sciences Division, Clark Smith and Tax Transfer Corporation Senior Account Executive, Goldie Tiu. The deadline for submitting your NOL Application is June 30. Join the industry as we head to Washington D.C. on April 14-15 for BIO’s Legislative Day Fly-In to visit our congressional representatives to discuss important topics such as patent reform, 21st Century Cures Initiative, Medicare Parts B and D, 340B Drug Discount Program and funding the National Institutes of Health among other topics. A number of interesting hires were announced this week. Sherine E. Gabriel will become the new Dean of the Rutgers University Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick. Eric Pauwels has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager Commercial Operations, Americas at PTC Therapeutics, Inc. And former BioNJ Chairman Francois Nader M.D. was named Chairman of the Board of Directors at Acceleron Pharma Inc.

BioNJ will be featured during a Brookings Institute panel discussion, entitled New Jersey’s Advanced Industries: What They Are & Why They Matter, on Monday, April 13, where President and CEO Debbie Hart will present. The event is being hosted by New Start New Jersey and Brookings Institute.

Join the industry during New Jersey Life Sciences Week, taking place April 20-24. Events will include an industry Career Fair at the Rutgers University Livingston Student Center on April 21, a Day with Students2Science on April 23, a BioHUB Networking Mixer on April 24 and learning the Secret Sauce to Getting Hired on April 24. A Moment of Hope will also take place on April 22 at 3 p.m. We hope you’ll join us in sharing a special moment during which we invite you to celebrate the important work you do for patients in your own special way.
