Big News for BioNJ Member Advaxis:
Advaxis was recently awarded two Vaccine Industry Excellence (ViE) Awards. The company finished first in “Best Financing Deal” and “Best Early-Stage Biotech;” and was Highly Commended in the “Best Biotech CEO” category. Congrats!

Three BioNJ Members Make the List:
DiversityInc announced the results of its annual Top 50 Companies for Diversity on Thursday night, and three BioNJ Members were among the top. Novartis Pharmaceuticals, located in East Hanover, finished first for the second consecutive year. Novartis also earned a “special award” as the Top Company for Diversity-Management Progress, placing second on the Top 10 Companies for Recruitment list and seventh in the Top 10 Companies for Employee Resource Groups category. New Brunswick-based Johnson & Johnson finished ninth overall and ninth in the Top 10 Companies for Recruitment group. Merck & Co., located in Kenilworth, finished 16th overall but placed sixth in the Top 10 Companies for People with Disabilities category. In addition, Merck was named the Top Company for Employee Resource Groups.

Executives-In-Residence Chosen to Mentor Emerging Companies:
Tapping into the State’s broad pool of talented life sciences professionals, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) just announced the appointment of the inaugural group of six highly-qualified professionals to its Executive-in-Residence program. Developed in collaboration with BioNJ, these professionals will mentor and advise the emerging growth companies located at the EDA’s Commercialization Center for Innovative Technologies (CCIT) in North Brunswick.
