Prudential Financial, Inc., and the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development are hosting a Veteran Symposium for New Jersey Employers on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Prudential’s Corporate Headquarters in Newark.
Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno will kick off the Veteran Symposium with a news conference highlighting the Administration’s efforts to bring together New Jersey businesses and government leaders to offer employer-focused information about the benefits, business resources, and best practices for hiring veterans.
The event will encourage business owners, CEOs, and their human resources representatives to share and explore solutions to improve employment opportunities for our nation’s veterans.
The Veteran Symposium will comprise a mix of presentations, facilitated panel discussions, and a group session on topics including:
- Where to find referrals for veterans seeking employment
- Hiring incentives, tax credits, bonding program, on-the-job training assistance
- How to access free resources to hire veterans
A networking lunch will be provided.
New Jersey business leaders, managers, employers, and human resource professionals are encouraged to attend the Veteran Symposium.
