Johnson & Johnson/Janssen Biotech, Vice President, Immunology Marketing
John began his career with Johnson & Johnson 24 years ago and has enjoyed a broad and diverse career holding various sales and marketing leadership positions across the Johnson & Johnson family of companies.
In his current role, John serves as Vice President of Immunology Marketing responsible for Janssen Biotech’s Immunology portfolio of REMICADE®, STELARA®, and SIMPONI® in Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Dermatology. In this role, he serves on the Janssen Biotech Leadership Team and on the Immunology Research Board as a commercial leader for Janssen’s R&D division. He co-leads the Janssen Marketing Leadership Committee addressing marketing interests and needs across various Janssen business units.
In his previous position, John was responsible for leading the Strategic Customer Group and served on Johnson & Johnson’s North America Pharmaceuticals Leadership Team. His responsibilities included leading numerous critical business functions – account management, pricing strategy, health policy and patient advocacy, access services, customer marketing, contract management, and trade operations – that supported the four Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical business units. He also served as a Governance Committee member for the Experienced Commercial Leadership Development Program.
John also served as Vice President, Managed Markets and Trade, responsible for leading all customer-facing activities for health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, State Medicaid, trade partners, integrated delivery networks, and long term care. This included all activity from strategy development to execution – across the four Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical business units: CNS, Immunology/Oncology, Virology, and IM/Cardiovascular. In this role, he served on the management board for Centocor Ortho Biotech, Inc. and Ortho McNeil Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He also represented the Pharmaceutical Sector as a member of the Johnson & Johnson Account Management Steering Committee.
John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and economics from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
