More great company news this week including a New Jersey company FDA approval which means even better news for Patients…Because We Can’t Wait…

Congratulations to Aprecia Pharmaceuticals as the company announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved SPRITAM® levetiracetam for oral use as a prescription adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, myoclonic seizures and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in adults and children with epilepsy. This approval marks the first time a drug product manufactured with this technology has been approved by the FDA.

BioNJ Member Advaxis announced clinical data from Stage 1 of an ongoing two-stage Phase 2 study of their lead Lm Technology™ immunotherapy, Axalimogene Filolisbac (ADXS-HPV), showed a 38.5 percent 12-month survival rate in 26 patients with persistent/recurrent metastatic cervical cancer.

PCT, LLC, announced that it will expand its current manufacturing capacity at its Allendale, NJ facility to support IRX Therapeutics, Inc.’s anticipated clinical trial manufacturing needs for the INSPIRE Phase 2b study in head and neck cancer patients.

New Jersey Health Foundation has committed $1 million for its next round of grant funding. Through its existing New Jersey Health Foundation Research Grants program, this latest allocation will fund awards of up to $35,000 each for early stage research projects that demonstrate exciting potential.

The deadline to submit your application to the New Jersey Economic Development Authority for the NJ Angel Investor Tax Credit Program is November 15, 2015. The program provides a 10% refundable tax credit against New Jersey corporation business or gross income tax for qualified investments in an emerging technology business with a physical presence in New Jersey and that conducts research, manufacturing or technology commercialization in the state.
