Reclaim Your Woman Power with Grit
Speaker: Caroline Adams Miller, MAPP, Author, Speaker and Professional Coach

One reason why women appear to hit their nadir at midlife is because they lose faith in their ability to achieve their life goals and therefore are unenergized. Research shows that the happiest people are those who wake up every day with clear-cut goals that provide them with meaning and purpose. And, although these goals are usually quite difficult they don’t quit, they rely on “grit” (the passion and perseverance in pursuit of long-term goals) to thrive. In this session, positive psychology expert Caroline Adams Miller will share her unique, comprehensive and evidence-based approach to helping you create and accomplish any goal on your list. You’ll learn the power of goal setting and grit to drive happiness and success in your professional and personal life, and leave with a copy of Caroline’s book “Creating Your Best Life”

As female leaders, there is a ubiquitous prerequisite that we are courageous. Yet, in many cases to meet this requirement, we must surmount both self-exacted and external barriers. This session on “Courageous Leadership” will bring these hurdles to the forefront. Three extraordinary leaders will share their journeys with a focus on how they
learned to be comfortable in their own skin by overcoming personal battles with confidence, how they
wear power while remaining empathetic leaders and the importance of paying it forward by encouraging and sponsoring others along their journey. The highly interactive format will afford a chance for all of us to learn from the collective wisdom of the entire forum.
