Women’s Healthcare Innovation and Leadership Showcase – Charting the Future of Women’s Healthcare
March 24, 2015 @ 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm
On March 24, 2015, the HBA Metro chapter, in collaboration with HealthyWomen.org, will explore women’s healthcare innovation and what academic and medical institutions, healthcare companies, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, third party payers, insurers and the government are doing to advance and innovate women’s healthcare. We will mark the progress that has been made by presenting many innovative initiatives that improve the lives of women and also highlight the areas where efforts must continue to tackle the challenges that remain. WHILS aims to increase awareness and invoke change; creating a path forward to truly advancing women’s healthcare literacy and behaviors and increasing access to healthcare.
Improving surveillance of disease, advancing basic and clinical research, improving early diagnosis, treatment and disease prevention, strengthening health systems, improving health literacy and behaviors, and increasing access to healthcare are the cornerstones of ensuring a healthier future for women worldwide. To advance the discussion and shrink the gaps in health disparities for women, we must turn to action-oriented innovative approaches. We invite individuals inside and outside the healthcare industry to join us on one platform to ignite conversations and build solutions in advancing women’s healthcare innovation.
After the program concludes, HBA and HealthyWomen are offering an exclusive networking reception in the Skirball lobby. If you would like to attend the post-event networking reception, you must select the “Program and Networking Reception” registration option.
